THERE, SHRINES AND PALACES AND TOWERS RESEMBLE NOTHING THAT IS OURS
yogarasu boating docks the easiest way to come and go from the island is to take a mainland ferry. it comes at regular intervals - in the morning, afternoon, and evening. the docks are for boats to come and go as they please. they could be delivering food for the growing city or visitors from the great beyond. it's fairly dark here due to the lack of interest on changing the streetlights around. the pleasant scent of dead fish is a must and will cling to your skin for days.

city square (5 sub-boards) just outside the docks, there lies the city square. there's various little shops surrounding it, but in the middle there's a huge fountain that spurts water from every direction. next to that, there's an old bronzed stature of jukyo's founder. there's a rather peculiar legend that surrounds this statue, in fact. the kids are saying that if you touch his face, you'll become cursed with some unknown ailment for a whole year. after being touched so many times, the statue's face's luster has faded! disregarding the strange story, the town square is a great place to relax and explore.
yukoku park there's a lovely meadow just to the right of jukyo's city square. trees and shrubs are spread across the small piece of land that is yukoku park. there's a little playground near the entrance. go further and you'll find that there's a path that leads down a bit of tree line. locals will warn you not to take this makeshift road after the sun sets and to never, ever walk to the very end.
inner city (3 sub-boards) the deepest part of jukyo. this is the "bad" part of the city. the buildings are all dilapitated and most of the people who live here aren't exactly upstanding citizens. many of the latest disappearances have happened around here.
poppins beach the city is right next to the sea, and a small chunk of sand was set aside for a beach. the beach is a great place to cool off on a hot summer's day or to meet up for a romantic night on the town. this section of the sea is relatively trash-free, but strange things can be found washed up on shore every so often!
RESIGNEDLY BENEATH THE SKY, THE MELANCHOLY WATERS LIE
hungry cliffs far on the other side of the island from the spooky docks and antique stores towers the mighty edges of the island, the hungry cliffs. they are covered in glossy fresh grass and have the feel of a happy tourist sight. there is even a little sign that welcomes you to jukyo at the beginning of the hill. it's not much of a walk to get to the very top since the island is fairly evaluated in general. until you happen to glance over the slippery edge. the rocks are stained a gushy, gruesome red that flows down like veins. they pump oily substance as far as the eye can see in the ocean below; turning the waters the lovely hue of blood. it legend behind these cliffs goes back to when gigantic city was just a small fishing village. it was a common practice for children to dive off the edge into the ocean waters below and then swim to the safety of shore. every once in a while the waters would swallow a child or two but that wasn't quite enough motivation to stop the festivities for many years. however, as the town grew larger the people became smarter about safety and banned the cliffs. not too long after that sudden decision a large blood clot appeared in the ocean below. as more time passed, it grew and pumped it's crimson into the veins it is now. thus, the hungry cliffs we know were created. despite the people that get curious and slip over the edge, the waters are still craving the fresh meat of children. the local rumor is that the longer we don't throw a few kids in, the larger the sticky blood will become.
zunukeru lighthouse a huge stone lighthouse that stands near the hungry cliffs. this is jukyo's main tourist attraction, as it has quite a bit of history behind it. its one of the few remaining structures from the fishing village that's still in use. every night, the lighthouse shines its blinding light into the empty sea in front of it, although ships don't pass by it very often anymore. its not certain who actually runs it.
ruins these ruins are all that remains of the original village that was built on the island. countless stone foundations that were once houses litter the area. they've been torn apart and covered with grafitti. the forest is slowly but surely closing in. nobody really knows whether there's more within the forest or not, as its dangerous and very easy to get lost within it. there's also a legend circulating amongst the citizens that somewhere on the premises, there's a large stone tower that still stands. old folks claim that it was simply used for the storage of grain. others believe that it had a much darker purpose.
kien forest ahh, the sights and sounds of nature. a sprawling forest takes up most of the island. there are hiking trails that meander through its depths, but most of them are very poorly maintained. ruins of the old village can be found here. that is, if you're confident enough to go off the beaten path.

the rusty pearl just north of the docks of jukyo lies a enormous fishing boat that half sleeps in the water. it looks worn from the hundreds of years it has sat so close to shore."the rusty pearl" are scratched on to the side of the boat and are large enough to even read from the docks. strange things seem to happen when you look away from the obvious crash. most notable is when you look away you can't seem to remember...sorry, what were we talking about?

FROM A TOWER WITHIN THE TOWN, DEATH LOOKS GIGANTICALLY DOWN
WELCOME TO JUKYO
DEATH HAS REARED HIMSELF A THRONE! and that throne is the sleepy, oceanside community of jukyo. the legend is that long ago, in the exact spot where the city is today, there was a small fishing village. the village was a hard place to live in; crops didn't grow well and it was often at the mercy of the ocean's roaring waves. however, the land was beautiful. so beautiful that it drew in a stronger group of invaders, who made quick work of the village's inhabitants. the leader, in the midst of his death throes, cursed the ground where his home once stood. jukyo was built directly ontop of this ground. now, these are all just rumors, of course.. but the curse still remains. some say that it simply gives the town an eerie aura. others, who are wiser, believe that the city attracts demons of every kind. however, these demons have grown wise over time and have taken on human forms. when a city is filled with demons disguised as neighbors, is it possible to lead a normal life?
